The Committee of Women in Insurance (Vic) (‘WII’) is delighted to invite you and your guests to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Trivia Night. This year’s event is to be held on Thursday, 23 August 2012 at the Essoign Club, Owen Dixon East, Level 1, 205 William Street. The AGM is at 5:30pm, drinks are from 6pm and trivia commences at 6:30pm. Members are invited to make up teams of 10. Alternatively leave it to us to make up a team of individuals and smaller groups. We are also pleased to invite current financial members to nominate for a position on the WII Committee. We have two positions of General Committee Member up for election. WII is a not for profit organisation which was formed to enhance the position of women in the insurance industry, facilitate networking opportunities, develop members personal and professional goals and to promote, develop and debate insurance issues. As part of these goals, it is essential to foster and support those who are new to the industry and, in particular, those who are unable to take advantage of all the benefits that membership offers. This year, the Committee invites all members to nominate a deserving recipient for the first annual Women in Insurance sponsored membership. The membership would include attendance at our events for the 2012/13 year. Possible candidates might include underwriting assistants, junior brokers, students with a keen interest in the industry, trainees or support staff.
