Janet will speak about her experience as a senior female lawyer in the US, including the challenges she has met throughout her career. 

Janet L. Brown is a founding partner of Boehm, Brown, Fischer, Harwood, Kelly & Scheihing, P.A.   Janet’s work emphasizes property insurance coverage, bad faith, and extra contractual damage claims. She has lectured and published on national and international levels.

Janet was admitted as one of the first dozen women members of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.  Janet has also been actively involved with the American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Practice Session), the International Association of Defense Counsel, Loss Executive Association, Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention, and Property Loss Research Bureau. Janet was instrumental in creating the Windstorm Insurance Network “WIND”.
